    Attend live in-person course at Yankee 2023 and you will receive an additional 3 CE credits. (This course will not be available on-demand). If you cannot attend Yankee 2023, you are still encouraged to take part in the Yankee Study Club!

    Saving the Tooth May Be the Clear Choice

    Endodontics: What’s Possible, What’s New, What Endodontists Can Do for You

    • - Determine and explore what endodontists can do for your patient
    • - Review the full scope of the endodontic referral for your patient before considering extractions and implants
    • - Recognize how and when to preserve teeth when treating radicular fractures
    • - List canal disinfecting procedures using ultrasonic, multisonic, and microfluidic laser technology
    • - Understand how endodontics can overcome and resolve common procedural complications on severely compromised teeth
    • - Discuss methods for immediate obturation of large canals and immature open apices
    • - Identify effective repair procedures on new and existing perforations


    Session 4

    Modifying Clear Aligner Protocol for Pre-prosthetic Success

    Moderator: Robert Cauley, Jr., DMD

    • - Review an Invisalign case to determine the programmed tooth movement
    • - Compare traditional and optimized attachments needed to support movements
    • - Discover how to better understand movement sequencing and staging
    • - Assess treatment progress to know when a treatment revision is advisable
    • - Evaluate clinical protocols for bite opening, bite deepening, space opening and space reduction/closure

    Yankee Study Club Presents: Real-World Dentistry: A Day in the Life

    Moderator: Carl McManama, DDS

    • - Accurately diagnose a variety of clinical conditions 
    • - Understand the etiology, the point in time, and the significance of the diagnosis
    • - Determine the best way to manage common dental problems

  • Speaker Bios


    Mario Abdennour, DMD: has held a faculty appointment as clinical instructor and lecturer at the Advanced Graduate Endodontic Program at Harvard School of Dental Medicine since 2000. He was the recipient of the part-time faculty award at Harvard where he teaches micro-surgical and non-surgical endodontics. Dr. Abdennour practices in the greater Boston area and lectures nationally and internationally in English, French and Spanish on precision-based endodontics.


    Timothy Hempton, DDS: is an Adjunct Associate Clinical Professor at Tufts University, a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and the recipient of the 2011 Yankee Dental Congress Clinician of the Year award. He maintains a private practice Limited to Periodontics and Dental Implants in Dedham, MA


    Todd Rowe, DMD: completed dental school at Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Orthodontics at the University of Michigan. He has been in clinical practice since 1989 in Leominster, MA. He is a clinical instructor at Harvard where he teaches self-ligated bracket systems and Invisalign to the graduate students. Between 30-40% of Dr. Rowes practice focuses on treating adults, often with significant pre-prosthetic tooth and bite alignment needs.


    Ancy Verdier, DMD:  is the founder of Worcester Periodontics, a periodontal dental practice located in Worcester , MA where he practices periodontology and implant dentistry. He earned his B.A. in Psychology from Tufts University, DMD and Periodontal residency at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Verdier is a Fellow in the International College of Dentists and American College of Dentists. He is also a regular contributor to Tufts Practice Based Research Network.


    Gregory Wu, DMD: received his DMD from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and further continued in Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency at UCLA. He is also the Clinical Director of Clinical Operations for Onsite Dental Care of New England, a mobile dental company providing dental care to the elderly at assisted living communities. Dr. Wu currently owns Emerson Dental, a Multi-Specialty practice in Westford, MA and Bedford, MA.

Cancellation Policy
  • Refunds can be made online up to 10 days prior to the first class. You will receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee. There are no refunds less than 10 days out including cancellations due to illness, late arrivals or weather. Full refund will be given if your class is cancelled for any reason by MDS. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing. There is no refund for courses once the course begins. Registrants will be notified by e-mail if the course is cancelled. The e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address used to register.
