    How Sleep Disorders and TMD are Related and How to Treat

    Moderator: Carl McManama, DDS


    • - Recognize the clinical signs of a patient with a possible Sleep or TMD Disorder
    • - Learn the questions to ask to uncover the presence of a sleep disorder or TMD problem
    • - Determine all steps needed to develop an initial diagnosis
    • - Develop a plan of action for the patient and determine what referrals to make
    • - Review cases to tie the process together

    Speaker:

    Amparo David, DMD: Dr. Amparo David received her Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Goldman School of Dental Medicine at Boston University in 1999, where she graduated with honors. Since then she has completed extensive education in many fields in Dentistry. TMD, Dental Sleep Medicine, Airway Dentistry, Holistic Dentistry, Oral Systemic Connection and more. She completed a mini residency in Temproro Mandibular Disorders and Dental Sleep Medicine at Tufts School of Dental Medicine and has extensive education at the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Center International and American Academy of Craniofacial Pain. She is the director of one of 70 centers worldwide that delivers a very high level of care, and is the TMJ & Sleep Therapy Center of New England. Located in Bolton Massachusetts.

    Carl McManama, DDS: Carl McManama is a Professor in the Department of General Dentistry and course director for several courses at Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine where he has taught since 1976. In addition to his teaching, he has maintained a private practice in Cambridge, Massachusetts for the past forty-five years.  Dr. McManama has presented over 100 CE courses on topics related to restorative and operative dentistry to all levels of dental audiences.

Cancellation Policy
  • Refunds can be made online up to 10 days prior to the first class. You will receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee. There are no refunds less than 10 days out including cancellations due to illness, late arrivals or weather. Full refund will be given if your class is cancelled for any reason by MDS. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing. There is no refund for courses once the course begins. Registrants will be notified by e-mail if the course is cancelled. The e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address used to register.
