    The COVID-19 pandemic changed oral healthcare delivery in many ways over the past 4 years. This course will review the current infection prevention & control guidance from CDC, OSHA and state regulations. Strategies and resources for implementing current guidance will be described. Considerations for infection prevention & control practices going forward will be discussed.

  • Speaker:

    Kathy Eklund, RDH: is the Sr. Director of Occupational Health and Safety, and the Research Subject and Patient Safety Advocate at the ADA Forsyth Institute. She is an adjunct faculty at Regis College, Dental Hygiene Program, where she teaches a senior level course in Evidence-Based Decision Making. Ms. Eklund serves as faculty for the New England AIDS Education and Training Center and HIVdent.org and is a past Chair of the Organization for Safety Asepsis and Prevention (OSAP) Board of Directors and currently the Co-Chair of the OSAP/ADS Foundation. Over the past 35 years, Ms. Eklund has published papers and contributed to several texts on infection control and safety. She is an author of the CDC Guidelines for Infection Control in Dental Health-Care Settings- 2003. Ms. Eklund has lectured nationally and internationally on these topics.
