Straightening Out TMD: The Clear Aligner Solution

    Wednesday, October 23, 2024: 6:30 - 8:30 pm EST

Live Zoom Webinar - 2 CE Hours

TMD can have a variety of etiologies and therefore a multitude of treatment options. While occlusal guards are the most commonly used   treatment for occlusion-based TMJD, there are alternatives that can serve a larger impact for our patients. In this course, we will understand some common presentations of occlusion-based TMJD and discuss how clear aligner therapy can be useful in treatment.

    • - Identify occlusal factors that contribute to orofacial pain
    • - Utilize a diagnostic phase to ensure clear aligner therapy is applicable
    • - Understand how occlusal guard therapy plays a role in clear aligner therapy
    • - Implement stepwise records appointment for proper case setup
    • - Develop clear aligner treatment plans for TMD cases
    • - Recognize cases in need of multidisciplinary treatment
