As professionals, we are all expected to be effective leaders. But where do we learn those skills? It was most likely not included in your dental school curriculum. Many dental professionals need to acquire those skills, but you are often put in roles without a full leadership tool kit. The Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) recognizes this challenge and wants to help you succeed in your leadership position.
The MDS has designed a program to help you develop or sharpen your leadership skills to help advance your career.
The MDS Leadership Academy is a five-session hybrid program that starts at Yankee Dental Congress and concludes in May. You will meet with an industry expert on the first Wednesday of March (for the second portion of course one), April, and May to focus on key leadership skills. The program will cover critical topics, including communication, strategic planning and execution, maximizing your hygiene revenue, shifting from colleague to manager, and more.
