This session will allow for the creation of a written financial and office policy based on the personal style and needs of the practice and understanding of the many types of insurance plans and their impact on the practice.
• Develop a financial style for your practice
• Understand the different types of insurance plans
• Determine the insurance plans and participation that are right for you and your patients
• Understand how dental insurance impacts your practice
• Establish a written financial policy for your practice
• Gain effective verbal skills to present your financial policy to your patients
APRIL 11:
SESSION 2: UNDERSTAND PROPER BILLING TECHNIQUES FOR INSURANCE AND PATIENT REIMBURSEMENT
Understand your patients’ insurance benefits and help your patients maximize their coverage and your productivity
• Understand your patients’ insurance benefits and maximize their coverage
• Determine proper data collection for efficient claim submission
• Know how to calculate accurate co-payments
• Learn to monitor unpaid claims
• Be able to post payments correctly
APRIL 18:
SESSION 3: CREATING A PROACTIVE ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SYSTEM AND CHECKS AND BALANCES THAT YOU MUST HAVE IN PLACE
Create an accounts receivable protocol that will be measurable for maximum effectiveness and results and understand industry metrics and how to keep your practice healthy
• Learn which reports you should be running and how often
• Create and monitor the accounts receivable protocol
• Discuss effective verbal skills for improved patient communication
• Create effective systems to monitor your financials
• Understand how to read reports to monitor your practice
• Establish accountability measures for everyone

Refunds can be made online up to 10 days prior to the class. You will receive a full refund minus a $10 processing fee. There are no refunds less than 10 days out including cancelations due to illness, late arrivals or weather. Full refund will be given if your class is cancelled for any reason by MDS. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for processing. There is no refund for courses once the course begins. Registrants will be notified by e-mail if the course is canceled due to inclement weather or for any other reason by MDS. The e-mail will be sent to the e-mail address used to register.
